Our Verdict

The myQ Secure View is primarily a smart deadbolt, not a doorbell camera. At $199.99, buyers are replacing their entire front door lock — this is lock-replacement budget, not doorbell-camera budget. The hardware combines a deadbolt with a 2K HDR camera, ring call, and 2-way audio in one unit, which makes sense only if you are simultaneously replacing an aging lock and want a doorbell camera without mounting a second device on the doorframe. Chamberlain's myQ infrastructure — established via its garage door ecosystem — provides Alexa and Google integration. With 217 Amazon reviews, it is early in its review trajectory. At $55 more than the Aqara G410 ($144.99) and $110 more than the Tapo D225 ($84.97), the premium only makes sense if you need both a new deadbolt and a camera. Right buy for: homeowners replacing a front door deadbolt who also want an integrated 2K camera and doorbell in a single install — not the right pick for anyone with a functioning lock who just needs a doorbell camera.
