Frequently Asked Questions
How do we score CPUs and GPUs?
We calculate a Value Score based on benchmark performance per dollar (65% weight), warranty (10%), and reviews (25%). CPU benchmarks use Cinebench R23 multi-thread. GPU benchmarks use 3DMark TimeSpy. The score is normalised within each category so a 70 in CPUs means the same relative value as a 70 in GPUs.
What CPU and GPU combo gives the best value in 2026?
The Intel Core i5-14600K or AMD Ryzen 5 7600X paired with an RTX 4070 Super delivers the best performance-per-dollar combination for gaming PC builds. Both CPUs are well above the GPU bottleneck threshold for this tier.
