Value Score Breakdown
Our Verdict
The AKRacing Core SX is the value model in AKRacing's range, offering a solid steel frame, adjustable lumbar and neck pillows, a reclining back and AKRacing's 5-year warranty, which is long for a gaming chair at this level. It has more than 330 Amazon ratings at 4.5 stars. Its PU leather upholstery is easy to wipe clean but can feel warm in summer. Firm padding suits people who prefer support over softness. Compared with the Masters Premium, it uses simpler materials and fewer armrest adjustments for a lower price. Choose the Core SX for a well-built gaming chair from an established brand with a long warranty; for the highest comfort and durability, step up to the Masters Premium, and for a cooler seat, a fabric or mesh chair.
