Our Verdict
The HyperX Alloy Origins Core is a tenkeyless mechanical keyboard with an aircraft-grade aluminium body, which makes it feel sturdier than most keyboards at its price. It uses HyperX's own mechanical switches, with tactile Aqua, linear Red and clicky Blue options, has per-key RGB, a detachable USB-C cable and onboard memory for profiles, and is configured through HyperX NGENUITY software. It has nearly 8,000 Amazon ratings at 4.7 stars. Dropping the number pad gives your mouse more room, which suits low-sensitivity gaming. Choose the Alloy Origins Core as a durable, well-reviewed mechanical keyboard for gaming and typing; if you need a number pad, the full-size Alloy Origins is the alternative, and for wireless, look at a tri-mode board like the AULA F75 Pro.
