The LANCOOL 217 is the first mainstream mid-tower case to use genuine wood accents — walnut on the black model at $119.99, beech on the white at $124.99. This is not vinyl wrap or printed film: machined solid wood requires tighter manufacturing tolerances and the fit and finish shows it. It also introduces back-connect motherboard support to the LANCOOL lineup and ships with five pre-installed fans including dual 170mm front fans — a larger diameter than the 120mm used in most competitors, moving more air at lower RPM and lower noise. GPU clearance is 380mm, CPU cooler limit is 180mm, and SSI-EEB boards (up to 330mm wide) are supported. Independent thermal testing shows performance matching the Fractal Meshify 3 ($140+) at $20 less. Reviewer-noted weaknesses: rear cable clearance is tight on heavy custom-cable builds, and there is no bottom dust filter. Against the NZXT H5 Flow or Corsair 4000D Airflow, the LANCOOL 217 costs $45–50 more in exchange for better build quality, the wood aesthetic, and dual 170mm fans.
