The Logitech C270 is the right webcam for a single use case: a working camera for video calls on the tightest possible budget. At $17.99 with 720p resolution and USB-A plug-and-play connectivity, it works with Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, and every major platform with no driver installation. 720p resolution was the standard for business video calls through 2020; in 2026 it is noticeably softer than 1080p on screens above 24 inches but acceptable for standard-definition meeting participants. The built-in microphone captures voice adequately for calls in quiet environments. Trade-off: 720p, 30fps, no software features. The $12 gap between the C270 and the Logitech Brio 101 buys 1080p and auto-light correction — a meaningful upgrade for anyone in variable lighting. For a secondary PC, a child's school machine, or travel use where absolute minimum cost is the brief, the C270 delivers.
