Value Score Breakdown
Our Verdict
The NETGEAR R6700AXS is a dual-band WiFi 6 router rated AX1800, suited to apartments and smaller homes, with about 2,600 Amazon ratings at 4.4 stars. It includes NETGEAR Armor security, which requires a paid subscription after the trial period, and NETGEAR's Nighthawk app for setup. AX1800 is entry-level WiFi 6, plenty for typical internet plans and a moderate number of devices. The TP-Link Archer AX21 offers the same AX1800 rating and has often cost far less in our price data. Choose the R6700AXS if you prefer NETGEAR's app and support; otherwise the Archer AX21 delivers the same class of performance for less, and the ASUS RT-AX55 includes security features without a subscription.
