Value Score Breakdown

Our Verdict

The NIMO 15.6 is the budget option in this category at $848.97, suited for light creative work: 1080p video editing in DaVinci Resolve Free, photo editing in Lightroom, and standard office productivity. The Ryzen 7 8745HS uses AMD Radeon 780M integrated graphics rather than a discrete GPU; GPU-accelerated effects in Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve run on the integrated chip at reduced speed compared to laptops with dedicated graphics cards. For 1080p H.264 timelines with standard color grading, the 8745HS handles the workload without issue. The 1TB NVMe SSD is a practical storage capacity for this price tier. At $448 less than the MacBook Air M5 ($1,297), the savings are significant for casual creators. The Lenovo 16 i7-13620H ($999.95) competes at the next tier; the Radeon 780M outperforms Intel Iris Xe in GPU tasks. For creators editing social media content who do not need GPU-accelerated 4K workflows, this is the starting point. Professional editors should step up to the MacBook Air M5 or ASUS V16.
