The 60W power adapter allocates up to 900mA per port under full load, sufficient for external hard drives (which require 500 to 900mA at spin-up) alongside other active peripherals. At $47.49 for 10 ports, it costs $21.50 more than the Atolla 8-port ($25.99). For standard desktop use with fewer than seven peripherals, the Atolla covers the need at lower cost. The intpw 9-port at $55.99 upgrades to USB 3.2 Gen 2 at 10Gbps for $8.50 more. Choose the SABRENT for high-port-count 5Gbps USB 3.0 workloads with multiple powered drives; choose the intpw only if fast external SSDs that saturate 5Gbps bandwidth are part of the setup.
