It gives a warm, clean vocal sound, rejects room noise well, and has built-in shielding against electrical hum plus a large windscreen that reduces plosives. It needs an XLR audio interface or mixer with a lot of clean gain; many home interfaces fall short, so many users add an inline preamp such as a Cloudlifter.
