The TP-Link Archer BE600 is the only tri-band WiFi 7 router in this batch. Three bands — 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz — combined with Multi-Link Operation allow devices to transmit and receive across multiple bands simultaneously, cutting effective latency versus single-band WiFi 6. Port configuration is the standout spec: one 10Gbps port, one 2.5Gbps port, and three 2.5Gbps LAN ports, with no Gigabit ceiling anywhere. The 10G port connects directly to a compatible NAS or multi-gig switch without a bottleneck. Covers 2,600 sq ft and supports 120 devices. WiFi 7 benefits are device-dependent: client hardware released before 2024 typically cannot take full advantage. At $229.99, it costs $50.99 more than the RS140 ($179). The RS140 covers mid-size homes at a lower price but lacks the 6GHz band and 10G port. For a home office with a multi-gig internet plan, a NAS, and several WiFi 7 client devices, the BE600 justifies its premium. For most homes, the RS140 is sufficient.
