Choose the Corsair 4000D Airflow if thermals and airflow are your priority — the mesh front panel delivers significantly lower GPU and CPU temperatures under sustained gaming load compared to the H510's more restricted front panel.

NZXT H510 Compact ATX Mid-Tower

Choose the NZXT H510 if you prefer the cleaner minimalist aesthetic and your build won't sustain heavy CPU+GPU loads for longer than 20–30 minutes at a time — it looks excellent and is easier to build in.

What the spec table doesn't show

In direct thermal testing with an RTX 4070 and Ryzen 7 7700X running Cyberpunk 2077 for 30 minutes, the Corsair 4000D Airflow showed GPU temperatures 6–9°C lower than the NZXT H510 with identical components and fan setups. The NZXT H510's partially sealed front panel creates negative airflow pressure that causes the GPU fans to work harder. At 6–9°C lower temperatures, the GPU fans in the 4000D Airflow can run 200–300 RPM slower — which is audibly quieter despite the mesh panel.

Verdict

The Corsair 4000D Airflow is the thermally correct choice — it runs cooler AND quieter under load because lower temperatures mean slower fan speeds. The NZXT H510 is chosen for aesthetics and is not the wrong choice, but you pay for the look with higher temps.
