What the spec table doesn't show
This is one of the most meaningful hidden differences in the PSU market. Seasonic makes its own power supplies from raw components in its own factories. The Corsair RM650x, while excellent, is built by Channel Well Technology (CWT) under OEM contract. Both are high-quality products, but Seasonic's in-house manufacturing gives them tighter quality control and is the reason they offer one of the industry's best warranty records. For a build you won't open again for 7 years, that matters.
Verdict
If silence at idle is your priority, the Corsair RM650x is excellent and barely audible during office or web browsing workloads. If you value manufacturing provenance and long-term reliability above all, the Seasonic Focus GX-650 is the benchmark PSU in this wattage class.
