The ASUS TUF Gaming A1 is built for rough handling. It is rated IP68 for water and dust resistance, designed to survive drops, and uses ASUS's Q-Latch for tool-free drive installation. It reads both NVMe and SATA M.2 drives at up to 10Gbps over USB-C, and ASUS lists PS5 and Xbox support, making it a sturdy extended storage drive for consoles as well as a field backup drive for photographers and travellers. The rugged shell makes it bulkier than slim aluminium enclosures, and speed is the same 10Gbps class as models costing less.
