Our Verdict
The ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 OC is NVIDIA's previous-generation flagship, with 24GB of GDDR6X memory and enough power for 4K gaming at high settings, large local AI models and heavy GPU rendering. Its draw of around 450W means NVIDIA recommends at least an 850W power supply, and the large TUF cooler needs a roomy case. It has about 300 Amazon ratings at 4.4 stars. The 24GB of memory remains its main advantage for AI work, matched only by the newer RTX 5090's 32GB. For gaming, the RTX 5080 offers DLSS 4 multi-frame generation and runs much cooler, though with 16GB. Supply of new 4090s is limited, so check the seller and condition carefully. Choose the TUF RTX 4090 for AI and rendering workloads that need 24GB of memory; for gaming, a current-generation RTX 5080 is the simpler buy.
