Our Verdict
The Corsair K55 RGB PRO at $40 is a full-size membrane keyboard with per-key RGB lighting, six dedicated macro keys, and a media volume roller — a higher feature count than most keyboards at this price. The 2-year Corsair warranty matches the SteelSeries Apex 3 and Logitech G213 at similar prices. The critical concern: 105 Amazon reviews is unusually thin for a Corsair product, making buyer confidence difficult to calibrate. The HyperX Alloy Core RGB at $40 has 5,296 reviews at the exact same price with comparable per-key RGB specs — a far more established option. Right buy for: users who specifically want macro key support and a volume roller on a budget membrane keyboard and are comfortable with limited buyer review data. For general gaming or typing at $40, the HyperX Alloy Core RGB has a substantially more proven track record and is the safer choice.
