Our Verdict

The Dell SE2726H is the 27-inch version of Dell's 144Hz budget IPS line: the same refresh rate, FreeSync, two HDMI inputs and tilt-only stand, on a larger panel. The bigger screen makes it easier on the eyes for people who sit further back or scale text up, and it is a comfortable size for watching video. The catch is resolution. At 27 inches, Full HD works out to around 82 pixels per inch, so text looks visibly softer than on the 24-inch SE2426H or a 1440p 27-inch monitor. That matters for spreadsheet and coding work, and much less for video, general browsing and casual games. Choose it if you want a large, smooth, inexpensive screen and viewing distance matters more than sharpness. If you read a lot of small text, the 24-inch model or a QHD 27-inch such as the Dell S2725DSM is the better fit.
