The Sceptre C248W is one of the most reviewed monitors on Amazon, and its appeal is a curved 24-inch screen at a budget price. The 1500R curve wraps the edges of the screen slightly toward you, which some people find more comfortable and immersive for video and single-player games. Sceptre rates colour coverage at 98% sRGB, which is good for this level, and it includes two HDMI inputs, VGA, built-in speakers and VESA mounting. The main limitation is the 75Hz refresh rate: it is fine for office work and video, but gamers will notice the difference compared with 144Hz monitors in our gaming monitors section. The built-in speakers are basic, as they are on most monitors. Buy it for a curved everyday screen with a very large base of satisfied buyers. If refresh rate matters, a 144Hz flat panel such as the Dell SE2426H is the better use of the budget.
