Our Verdict

The Elgato Stream Deck MK.2 is the default stream controller for streamers and creators, with 15 customisable LCD keys, a detachable USB-C cable and swappable faceplates, and more than 10,000 Amazon ratings at 4.8 stars. Each key can switch scenes, control audio, trigger clips, post to chat or run multi-step actions, and pages and folders extend it far beyond 15 functions. Elgato's software and plugin library also make it useful as a shortcut pad for video editing, design and office work. It has no dials, so audio levels are controlled by key presses rather than turning a knob. Choose the Stream Deck MK.2 as the best all-round stream controller; if you mix audio live, the Stream Deck + adds dials, and on a budget, the Stream Deck Mini covers the basics.
