Our Verdict

The Lexar 1TB Blue microSD is the right card for Steam Deck owners with large game libraries, Android users who refuse to delete media, and Nintendo Switch players who want to load 400-plus games onto a single card. At 160 MB/s read, game loading and video playback don't bottleneck, though it falls short of the SanDisk Ultra microSD's 195 MB/s read rate. At $179.99 for 1TB, the cost-per-GB is $0.18, lower than any other card in this category. The SanDisk 128GB Ultra microSD at $34.99 delivers faster reads for $145 less if 128GB covers your library. The Lexar 1TB is the right buy only when 1TB in a single microSD slot is an actual requirement, not just an aspirational upgrade.
