Our Verdict
The MacBook Pro 14 OLED Touch is Apple's first Mac with a touchscreen, and the reason to buy it is the display. Apple's 14.2-inch PROLED XDR panel is a tandem OLED rated at up to 2,000 nits in both SDR and HDR, with a 10,000,000:1 contrast ratio, P3 and Adobe RGB color, and ProMotion from 10Hz to 120Hz. Apple pitches it as a portable reference display for filmmaking and design, and you can scroll, pinch and drag directly on the screen. Inside is the same M5 Pro chip as the regular-screen MacBook Pro, here with 24GB of unified memory and a 1TB SSD in silver. It weighs about 3 lb, and Apple quotes a 50% charge in 30 minutes. It went on pre-order on October 28, 2026 and ships November 6, so Amazon buyer ratings will follow, and Apple hasn't published a battery life figure yet. Choose it for HDR color grading and photo work where the screen pays for itself. For general editing, the MacBook Pro 14 M6 costs far less and handles most 4K work.
