Our Verdict

The TP-Link Archer BE550 is a tri-band WiFi 7 router rated BE9300, adding a 6GHz band alongside 2.4GHz and 5GHz. The 6GHz band offers wide, uncongested channels for the fastest wireless speeds to WiFi 7 and WiFi 6E devices at close range, while Multi-Link Operation lets compatible devices use several bands at once. It has 2.5Gbps ports for multi-gig internet plans and wired devices, and has more than 1,800 Amazon ratings at 4.0 stars. Older devices still connect over 2.4GHz and 5GHz, but you only get the full benefit with WiFi 7 or 6E phones and laptops. Choose the BE550 for a single-router home with recent devices and a fast internet plan; for large or multi-floor homes, a WiFi 7 mesh system such as the Deco BE25 covers more ground.
