It is a dual-band WiFi 7 system: the same 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios handle both client connections and node-to-node backhaul traffic. The Orbi 770 avoids this constraint with a dedicated 6 GHz backhaul band, but at nearly double the price. In practice, wiring nodes together via Ethernet eliminates the dual-band backhaul penalty entirely — making the Orbi's premium unnecessary for installations with Ethernet cable runs between floors. 1,019 Amazon reviews is limited at this price point; the Deco S4 (29,403) and Deco X55 (12,939) have far more field validation.
