The Acer Nitro V 15 is the lowest-priced RTX 5050 gaming laptop in this category at $999. The i5-13420H is a 12th-generation Intel processor, a step below the i5-13450HX in the ASUS TUF F16 ($1,259) and ROG Strix G16 ($1,349.99) models; the gaming performance gap is small, as the RTX 5050 GPU is the practical limiter in both cases. Like the TUF F16, the 512GB SSD fills fast with large game installs, so plan for external storage. At $260 less than the TUF F16, the savings are meaningful. The ASUS TUF F16 justifies its premium with a faster CPU variant and sturdier chassis. For a first gaming laptop, a student upgrade from a console, or any buyer where $999 is a firm ceiling, the Nitro V 15 is the correct entry point in the RTX 5050 tier.
