It pairs that chip with 8GB of unified memory, a 256GB SSD, a 13-inch Liquid Retina display and a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, and it supports Apple Intelligence. That is a comfortable fit for school work, browsing, streaming and video calls, and its buyer rating holds up across more than a thousand reviews. The limits are memory and storage: neither can be upgraded later, and this model skips Touch ID, which the 512GB version adds.
