Value Score Breakdown

Our Verdict

The Lenovo V15 G2 is a no-frills 15.6-inch Windows laptop that puts its money into memory and storage. It pairs a six-core AMD Ryzen 5 5500U with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, twice the memory of the Dell 15 in our rankings, which gives more headroom for many browser tabs, Office files and video calls open at once. It also has two things many slim laptops have dropped: a wired Ethernet port and a full numeric keypad, both useful for office work and spreadsheets. Windows 11 Pro is included. The trade-offs are an older processor design from 2021 and a plain Full HD screen, so it is not the pick for gaming or colour-critical photo work. It is sold by a reseller rather than Amazon, so check the seller's return policy before ordering. Choose it if you want a roomy, practical work or school laptop with enough memory to last; choose the Dell 15 if you want a cheaper Windows option sold by Amazon.
