Value Score Breakdown
Our Verdict
The ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE98 Pro is a flagship quad-band WiFi 7 gaming router, with two 6GHz bands alongside 2.4GHz and 5GHz, which gives very high total capacity for homes with many fast WiFi 7 devices. It has 10Gbps ports for multi-gig internet and home servers, gaming features that prioritise game traffic, and ASUS's full router software, including AiProtection security and AiMesh. It has about 600 Amazon ratings at 4.2 stars. Its price and size are far beyond what most homes need; typical internet plans and households won't use its capacity. Choose the GT-BE98 Pro for an enthusiast setup with multi-gig fibre, many WiFi 7 devices and heavy network use; for most gamers, a tri-band WiFi 7 router such as the TP-Link Archer BE550 is far better value.
