Our Verdict

The Lenovo Legion 5 15IRX10 is the only RTX 5070 gaming laptop in this category with an OLED display. The 2560x1600 165Hz panel delivers per-pixel contrast and color depth that no IPS competitor at this price replicates, and it matters both for gaming at 1440p and for any creative work done on the machine. The i9-14900HX and 32GB DDR5 match the MSI Katana 15 HX RTX 5070 ($1,869.99); the $225 price gap between them is an explicit payment for the OLED panel. At 4.5 stars from 27 reviews, early ownership data is positive but limited. The main alternative at a comparable price is the Acer Nitro 16S AI Copilot+ RTX 5070 Ti ($1,999.99): a faster GPU tier with 2TB storage for $95 less, but with a standard IPS display. For buyers where display quality is the deciding factor, the Legion 5 OLED is the correct pick. For maximum GPU performance per dollar at this price point, the Acer Copilot+ RTX 5070 Ti wins.
