One of three ROG Strix G16 variants in this category, the RTX 5050 model is the entry point into the ROG Strix line. The RTX 5050's 8GB VRAM and Blackwell architecture handle 1080p gaming at 60+ FPS in current AAA titles with DLSS 4 active. At $1,349.99 it costs $90 more than the ASUS TUF Gaming F16 RTX 5050 ($1,259), which ships with only 512GB storage; the ROG Strix includes a full 1TB NVMe drive. The i5-13450HX does not bottleneck the RTX 5050 in gaming. The case for stepping up: at $140 more, the ROG Strix G16 RTX 5060 adds an i7-14650HX CPU and a GPU that sustains 90+ FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p Ultra. Buy this if the RTX 5060 is out of budget and you need 1TB storage. The TUF F16 is the save-$90 alternative if 512GB is manageable.
