The ASUS TUF Gaming F16 is the price leader among RTX 5050 gaming laptops in this category at $1,259. The TUF chassis prioritizes cost efficiency over the ROG Strix's premium build and port selection, using the same i5-13450HX processor and RTX 5050 GPU. The 512GB NVMe SSD is the main limitation: two or three large games plus Windows fill it quickly, so plan for an external drive from day one. At $90 less than the ROG Strix G16 RTX 5050 ($1,349.99), the TUF saves money at the cost of 500GB of internal storage. The Acer Nitro V 15 RTX 5050 ($999) undercuts both by $260 with a comparable spec set. If you install one or two large games and manage storage actively, the TUF is a reasonable value. If library size matters, pay the $90 for the ROG Strix's 1TB drive, or drop to the Acer Nitro V 15 for maximum savings.
