Which RTX Spark laptop should you buy?
The ASUS ProArt P14 is the one I'd look at first: it matches the Surface Laptop Ultra's $2,599.99 starting price in a smaller, lighter 14-inch body. Pick the Surface if you want the larger 15-inch mini-LED screen and its 2,000-nit HDR peak, which we covered in our Surface Laptop Ultra breakdown. The Lenovo Yoga 9n and MSI Prestige N16 Flip suit anyone who wants a touchscreen 2-in-1 for drawing or presenting.
The Dell XPS 16 costs $1,200 more than the cheapest models. Its OLED screen and XPS design are the draw, but the extra money doesn't buy a different chip: every model uses the same RTX Spark platform.
RTX Spark vs MacBook Pro and gaming laptops
Every RTX Spark laptop runs Windows on Arm, and that decides who should wait. If you want a proven laptop for video and photo work today, the MacBook Pro 14-inch M5 and MacBook Pro 14-inch M4 Pro cost less than any RTX Spark model in our price data. Gamers are better served by an x86 machine such as the ASUS ROG Strix G16 RTX 5070 Ti, which runs every Windows game and anti-cheat system.
My verdict: don't preorder unless you need Windows with NVIDIA's CUDA tools for local AI work. Independent reviews of battery life and app compatibility should arrive after October 16. Compare every laptop we track on our laptop rankings.
