The TP-Link LS108GP is an eight-port gigabit switch where every port supports PoE+, with a 62W total power budget. It suits a home security setup with several PoE cameras, or a mix of cameras and WiFi access points, with nothing to configure. Extend mode trades speed for longer cable runs, useful for a camera at the far end of a garden, and PoE auto recovery can restart a device that stops responding. It is fanless and silent. Check the maths before buying: 62W shared across eight devices works for typical cameras but not for power-hungry PTZ cameras or high-end access points. For four or fewer PoE devices, the smaller TL-SG1005P is cheaper.
