The TP-Link TL-SG1005P is a five-port gigabit switch with four PoE+ ports and a 65W total power budget, so it can power security cameras, WiFi access points or VoIP phones over the same Ethernet cable that carries their data. It is plug and play, fanless and metal-cased, with QoS and IGMP snooping built in. Its value score is lower than a plain gigabit switch because you pay for power delivery, not extra bandwidth. Before buying, add up the power draw of every device you plan to connect: 65W comfortably covers several typical cameras or access points. Choose it for a small camera or access-point setup; for up to eight PoE devices, the LS108GP is the next step.
