Which one should you buy?
ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB OC
Choose the RTX 4060 Ti if 1080p gaming is your target resolution and you want to keep costs down — it handles 1080p at ultra settings in every current title with DLSS 3 Frame Generation.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super 12GB
Choose the RTX 4070 Super if you game at 1440p or plan to upgrade your monitor — its 12GB VRAM and wider 192-bit memory bus deliver noticeably better 1440p performance and future-proof your build.
What the spec table doesn't show
The memory bus difference is the key hidden spec here. The RTX 4060 Ti runs a 128-bit memory bus versus the RTX 4070 Super's 192-bit bus. This doesn't show up in 1080p benchmarks significantly, but at 1440p with high-resolution textures loaded, the wider bus allows the 4070 Super to sustain higher average framerates. In Cyberpunk 2077 RT Ultra at 1440p, the gap is roughly 20% in favour of the 4070 Super.
Verdict
At 1080p, the RTX 4060 Ti is perfectly adequate and the right budget choice. For 1440p gaming — or anyone who expects to move to 1440p within the next two years — the RTX 4070 Super 12GB is worth the extra cost.
